General Questions
What happens when I book a class or course?
When you book, you will receive an email with login details for the Fully Alive Academy. Log in to access the class Zoom link, recordings and other class information.
If you don't see an email from Fully Alive, please first check your junk and promotions folders, and add our email address to your contacts. If you need any help feel free to contact us using the form at the bottom of this page.
What if I can't make the time of a live class?
If you can't make a class or course live, you can take it in your own time using the recording and check in with your progress by email as you need to. Feedback from people who have taken courses and classes from recordings is that they get as much out of them as they do from a live class.
Are classes suitable for beginners?
If you are new to Qigong and want to learn to develop an energy flow, which is the foundation skill of all training with Fully Alive, you might like to try our Level One beginners course. You can find out more about Levels 1-4 here.
Most of our weekly classes, including Shaolin Arts, Tai Chi, morning Qigong classes, and Qigong for Self-Healing Warriors, are suitable for complete beginners as well as for those who have more experience. You start from wherever you are, and build from there week by week. The class structure means that students of all levels are able to make progress.
If you would like some advice as to which class or course might be most suitable for you, please get in touch using the contact form below.
What if I have physical restrictions?
If you have physical restrictions or limitations, the exercises can be adapted to suit you. All the exercises can be done sitting down, and you will come from a place of gentleness and listening to your body.
Do I need any special equipment?
No, just a computer with access to Zoom, and a room with a bit of space. Around 2 square metres is enough.
Support inside and outside the class
You are encouraged to share and ask questions within classes, and to email us with anything that comes up for you during your own practice.
If you need extra support, you can book a one-to-one session with Tim.
Bonus Recordings and Training Clips
When you join a class, you will also get access to bonus class recordings and meditations in the Fully Alive Academy.
For the Shaolin Arts and Tai Chi classes, you also get access to a library of short videos on various aspects of the training and forms, to support you in your own practice.
What happens when I book a pre-recorded course?
The pre-recorded courses are recordings of courses that were originally taught live over a number of weeks.
You will be able to access the whole course through the Fully Alive Academy. You will have permanent access, so you can take the course at your own pace and review the classes at any time.
We suggest that you take a week in between each class to practice and consolidate the learning for that week before moving on to the next class.
If you have questions about anything, you can email and Tim will get back to you. We also encourage you to keep in touch and share your progress by email.
Will I have permanent access to the course?
Yes, you will be able to access any course you buy for as long as the technology is available.
Which class should I take?
All our classes aim to unify mind, body and energy. But each class will approach this in a different way. If you are drawn to a particular class, you can try it for a month and see how you find it. Or with Premium Membership, you can try all the weekly classes to see which suits you best.
For more help and advice as to which class might be most suitable for you, please contact us using the form at the bottom of the page.

Can I change classes?
Yes, if you join a class and want to switch to a different one after a few weeks, that's fine.
Is it a recurring subscription?
No. You pay for classes either monthly or annually, depending on which type of membership you choose. You will receive a payment reminder when your next payment is due, and payment won't be taken automatically.
How long can I access the class recordings for?
Weekly class recordings will be available online for a year. You will be able to access them through the Fully Alive Academy during that time, even if you are no longer joining the live class.
