Synergising Jing, Qi, Shen (Triple Cultivation Practice)

“Gentle physical exercises works only on the physical body, but genuine chi kung works on the physical body, energy and mind. Genuine chi kung is triple cultivation.”

– Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit

During the ‘Protective Qi’ course, we focused on developing a robust immune system against external factors. In the ‘Synergising Jing, Qi, Shen’ course, we will explore the nature and practices to better deal with internal disharmony – physically, emotionally, and mentally.

As we know, negative thoughts and emotions can significantly impact mental and physical health. The mind and body are interconnected, and what affects one can often influence the other.

In Qigong, we don’t simply ignore the things happening in daily life. Instead, we seek ways to harmonise our mind, emotions and actions so that energy can flow smoothly.

In this four-week course, we will explore how Qigong can be practised to synergise Jing (Essence), Qi (Energy) and Shen (Mind/Spirit), drawing from the teachings of the great 12th-century Taoist master – Zhang San Feng, and simplified for practical use by Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit.
