Whether you are new to Qigong or a seasoned practitioner, this day is for you.
Shaolin Cosmos Qigong includes meditation, mindful movement, and energy flow.
Qigong is the 'skill in using energy'. We will be practising various approaches to improve the smooth flow of energy.
A smooth energy flow is important for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.
The form of Qigong does have importance - helping you open energy channels and release held tension in the body, where energy can stagnate. (If you speak to an acupuncturist, they will no doubt tell you that stagnated chi/qi/energy is not a good thing). But more important is the skill of Qigong. My aim is to help you become more skilful using energy flow.
Shaolin Cosmos Qigong works by helping you move from a stress response to a relaxation response, releasing stuckness and stale or stagnated energy along the way. By tapping into Cosmic energy (a key feature of Shaolin Cosmos Qigong taught by Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit), you enhance the energy flow, which is conducive to good health and happiness.
Once you can generate an energy flow and tap into Cosmic energy the skill is in energy-management and applying it to everything you do. This way, Qigong becomes a way of being, not something you leave on the mat.
During this Qigong day, I will share with you a daily Qigong practice you can do yourself. Plus, we will have the opportunity to refine your practice to help you get the best out of Qigong. Think of it as a coming together of like-minded people, who want the best for each other, whilst being guided by an ancient practice of mind, body, energy, and spirit.
